Where do I go in my career?
How do I make a career change?

alt text

If you are starting your first job, working for someone or making a career change, then you most likely would have asked the two questions above.

I know I did. And of course, I asked more questions.

"What am I good at? What are my talents? Which job is right for me? Who should I listen to? How much is the salary?"

"Shall I accept the promotion? Shall I change companies, or even industries? What kind of preparation do I need?"

"Where can I find help? What resources are there? Are they right for me?"

"I'm lost!"

I had so many questions and it seems that the more people I ask, the more confused I got. So many opinions, emotions and considerations! They overwhelmed me.

And I realized, there are many people who felt the same way I did.

Some are unsure of how to choose and apply for a job.

Others, unhappy, dissatisfied or even laid off, are asking themselves whether it is time to make a career change.

"Please help me."

In my own struggles, I wished for a guiding light. Someone, anyone, to show me the way and reassure me.

And those who are also struggling on their own, shared my sentiment.

Today, I am in a career which I am truly passionate about. It has taken me ten long years to reach here. A decade long journey accompanied by feelings of fear, doubt, pain and joy.

This website, Career Change Made Simple.com, is my way of giving back as well as paying it forward.

You will find many tips and techniques which I have personally experienced and learned to start, sustain and succeed in your career.

Do stay around for a while. Read some, and more, if you like. I hope it will make your own journey a little easier.

And as I sometimes wish for myself, I pray you will get there in half the time you need and with a whole lot less pain!

Yours,
Jessline
